Regulation on CHIBOR and CHIBID Reference Rates

The Council of Administration of the National Bank of Moldova issued Decision no. 110 to approve the Regulation governing the determination and publication of CHIBOR and CHIBID reference rates. The Regulation mandates that licensed contributor banks submit daily indicative or firm quotations via Bloomberg for various maturities, which are then processed by a fixing agent to calculate the rates. It establishes specific calculation methodologies, publication timelines, and criteria for selecting or excluding banks from the contributor panel to ensure market integrity.
