Box 60000 - 00200 Nairobi, Kenya Telephone: 2860000, Fax: 340192 24th March, 2010 BANKING CIRCULAR NO. 1 OF 2010 TO: ALL CHIEF EXECUTIVES OF COMMERCIAL BANKS REVIEW OF CENTRAL BANK RATE (CBR) The Central Bank of Kenya wishes to inform all commercial banks that the Monetary Policy Committee at its meeting held on 23rd March 2010 reviewed the CBR downwards by 25 basis points from 7.00 per cent to 6.75 per cent.

This change takes effect immediately.
