Bank Recovery Plan Regulation (BaSaPV)

The Austrian Financial Market Authority (FMA) issued the Bank Recovery Plan Regulation (BaSaPV) to specify the content and detail requirements for bank recovery plans under the Bank Recovery and Resolution Act. The regulation establishes a four-tier categorization system for entities based on asset size and business complexity, applying proportionate obligations regarding required scenarios and financial indicators for each category. It further mandates specific timelines for the initial submission and periodic updates of these plans, with frequencies ranging from annually for Category 4 entities to every three years for Category 1 entities.
