Banco de Portugal issued Instruction No. 4/2023 to define the locations, schedules, rules, conditions, and application support for depositing and withdrawing euro banknotes and coins at the central bank. This instruction revokes the previous Instruction No. 18/2021 and entered into force on March 1, 2023. It is addressed to credit institutions, including banks, the Central Credit Agricultural Mutual Fund, and savings banks.
