The Non-Bank Financial Institutions Regulatory Authority proposes a five percent increase in supervisory levies while maintaining current licensing and renewal fees for the financial year ending 31 March 2023. SUBJECT: CONSULTATIONS ON PROPOSED FIVE PERCENT INCREASE IN SUPERVISORY LEVIES AND NO CHANGE IN LICENSING FEES FOR THE FINANCIAL YEAR ENDING 31ST MARCH 2023
The above matter refers.
The Authority informs all Non – Bank Financial Institutions (NBFIs) that, in light of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic and in its effort to ensure adherence to the COVID-19 protocols, it will adopt the following measures with regard to consultations on proposed supervisory levies and licensing fees for the financial year ending 31st March 2023:
The Authority will call for comments from the Non-Bank Financial Institutions through its website and social media platforms.
The Authority proposes to increase supervisory levies by five percent and no change to licensing and renewal fees for the financial year ending 31st March 2023.
In that regard it will be recalled that in view of the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic on the regulated entities, the Authority did not increase supervisory levies and license fees for the 2021/22 financial year.
This memo is issued in line with Section 23 of the NBFIRA Act, which requires the Authority to publish the annual estimates and proposal for supervisory levies and call for submissions on the draft estimates.
