Box 60000 - 00200 Nairobi, Kenya Telephone: 2860000, Fax: 340192 28th January 2011 BANKING CIRCULAR NO. 1 OF 2011 TO: ALL CHIEF EXECUTIVES OF COMMERCIAL BANKS REVIEW OF CENTRAL BANK RATE (CBR) The Central Bank of Kenya wishes to inform all commercial banks that the Monetary Policy Committee at its meeting held on 27th January 2011 reviewed the CBR downwards by 25 basis points from 6.00 per cent to 5.75 per cent.

This change takes effect immediately.
