Retirement Benefits Schemes (Recognised Schemes) (Republic of Ireland) Order 2004

The Treasury issued this Order to designate the Republic of Ireland as a recognized jurisdiction for retirement benefits schemes under the Retirement Benefits Schemes Act 2000. It specifies that eligible schemes must be established under an irrevocable trust, recognized as occupational pension schemes under Irish law, and registered with the Pensions Board. The Order came into operation on 1st November 2004 following approval by Tynwald.
