The Bank of Zambia issued Circular No. 27/2025 to establish the 2026 submission calendar for commercial banks' monthly Money Receipts and Remittances Returns under the electronic Balance of Payments system. Each return must be filed electronically via the e-BoP platform by a designated date, while underlying transactions remain subject to a T+2 reporting window. Failure to submit complete or accurate returns on time will trigger a daily K500 penalty until corrected.

CALENDAR FOR SUBMISSION OF MONTHLY MONEY RECEIPTS AND REMITTANCES RETURNS UNDER THE ELECTRONIC BALANCE OF PAYMENTS MONITORING SYSTEM
Further to CB Circular No. 09/2019 of October 23, 2019, kindly be informed that the due dates for submission of complete monthly Money Receipts and Remittances Returns (MRRR) under the electronic balance of payments (e-BoP) monitoring system to the Bank of Zambia for 2026, are as follows:

The MRRR should be submitted to the Bank of Zambia electronically using the e-BoP monitoring system by the set due dates, while the Money Receipts and Remittances Transactions (MRRT) will continue to be submitted by the close of business (T+2). Failure to comply with these requirements will attract a penalty of K500 per day for delayed submissions, incorrect returns or incomplete returns until the transactions are corrected or submitted.
