CIMA Decision Notice – Cancellation of L.A. Capital Management, Ltd Mutual Fund Registration
The Cayman Islands Monetary Authority cancelled the mutual fund registration of L.A. Capital Management, Ltd effective 18 June 2019 due to statutory breaches. The Fund failed to submit audited accounts for 2013 through 2017, pay annual fees and penalties from 2015 to 2019, and maintain a registered office. CIMA determined the entity ceased operating as a mutual fund and failed to satisfy termination requirements, justifying cancellation under section 30(16) of the Mutual Funds Law.
