Law No. 4 of 2013 Concerning the Abu Dhabi Global Market

Ruler Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan issued this law to establish the Abu Dhabi Global Market as an independent financial free zone with its own legal personality and administrative autonomy. The legislation creates a Board of Directors as the supreme authority to manage the zone and defines three independent regulatory bodies: the Registration Bureau, the Financial Services Regulations Bureau, and the Courts. These authorities are empowered to license establishments, regulate financial services, and enforce laws to promote Abu Dhabi as a global financial center.
