Based on the provisions of Law No. (1) of 2005 concerning Banks, and referring to Circular CBL No. (2012/4) issued on 30/1/2012, regarding the authorization for commercial banks to directly accept requests related to importing goods and means of production, using foreign exchange remittances, in accordance with the controls specified in the Circular, and to Circular CBL No. (2012/9) issued on 28/3/2012, which authorized commercial banks to resume processing submitted requests for importing goods and means of production via foreign remittances without the need to refer them to the Central Bank of Libya.
Therefore, we inform you that the Board of Directors of the Central Bank of Libya issued Decision No. (7) of 2012 in its second meeting for the year 2012, held on 2/2/2012, concerning foreign remittances. And as we forward to you a copy of the aforementioned Board Decision, it is requested that you take the necessary measures and implement its provisions.
