Compendium of External Operational and Service Circular DEP-498, Subject 15: 5, 10, and 20 Peso Metallic Coins Minted from 1989

The Issuance and Programming Department of the Bank of the Republic issued External Operational and Service Circular DEP-498 to replace previous regulations and establish a historical record for the specifications of 5, 10, and 20 peso metallic coins minted from 1989 onward. The circular details the alloy compositions, dimensions, obverse and reverse designs, and distribution packaging standards for these coins, which are no longer in production. It further documents the continuous circulation of identically designed coins minted in subsequent years through 2003, clarifying that the 50 peso coin specifications have been moved to a separate circular.
