Securities Industry Act, 2021 (Commencement) Order, 2021
John Briceño, Prime Minister and Minister responsible for finance in Belize, issued the Securities Industry Act, 2021 (Commencement) Order, 2021. This Order, made under section 195 of the Securities Industry Act, 2021, appoints January 1, 2022, as the effective date for certain provisions of the Act. Specifically, Parts I, II, XVII, and XVIII (excluding section 193) of the Securities Industry Act, 2021, will come into force on that date.

ORDER made in exercise of the powers conferred upon the Minister responsible for finance, by section 195 of the Securities Industry Act, 2021 (No.46 of 2021), and all other powers thereunto him enabling.

This Order may be cited as the SECURITIES INDUSTRY ACT, 2021 (COMMENCEMENT) ORDER, 2021.

In exercise of the powers conferred upon me by section 195 of the Securities Industry Act (No. 46 of 2021), and all other powers thereunto me enabling, I, JOHN BRICEÑO, Prime Minister and Minister responsible for finance, hereby appoint the 1st day of January, 2022, as the day on which the following provisions of the Securities Industry Act, 2021, shall come into force-
(a) the provisions of Part I;
(b) the provisions of Part II;
(c) the provisions of Part XVII; and
(d) the provisions of Part XVIII, other than section 193.
