Carta Circular Externa DSP-0172-2026, Subject: BANCO FINANDINA suspends check clearing service in the Barranquilla office

The Department of Payment Systems (DSP) notifies participants that Banco Finandina will cease operations at its Barranquilla branch and withdraw from check clearing processes. Effective May 15, 2026, the bank will stop sending checks for collection, while continuing to receive them until July 15, 2026, with final clearing on July 16, 2026. Participants are instructed to update internal processes and inform their branches regarding these operational changes.

Dear Sirs/Madams:

In accordance with information provided by Banco Finandina, starting May 15, 2026, the aforementioned bank will close operations at the Barranquilla branch and cease its participation in clearing processes on July 15, 2026.

In line with the above, Banco Finandina will not send checks for collection starting May 15, 2026, and will receive checks for collection until July 15, 2026, closing the second clearing of that date on July 16, 2026.

Regarding checks from Banco Finandina's Barranquilla branch, these are treated as payment instruments for their clients under the remittance for collection or negotiated modality, as applicable.
