The Reserve Bank of Zimbabwe regulates the asset management sector by requiring qualifying companies to obtain formal registration and adhere to fit-and-proper, financial soundness, and business plan standards. The Act mandates rigorous auditing, client complaint procedures, and officer accountability for reckless or fraudulent conduct to safeguard invested property. Furthermore, it grants the Registrar authority to enforce compliance, manage amalgamations and transfers, and cancel or vary registrations based on statutory criteria.
