FSA Circular No 4 of 2019 on Amendments to Gainful Occupational Permit Procedures for ICSP, Fund and Securities Licensees
The Financial Services Authority has amended Gainful Occupational Permit procedures for licensees under the International Corporate Service Providers, Mutual Fund and Hedge Fund, and Securities Acts to streamline application processing. Licensees must first advertise local recruitment, then submit complete applications to the Authority for a confirmation letter before liaising directly with the Ministry of Employment, Immigration and Civil Status. Final certified documents from the Ministry must be returned to the Authority within seven days, with the updated procedures taking effect on February 1, 2020.
