Circular No. 25: Eid al-Fitr Holiday
The Palestine Monetary Authority issued Circular No. 25/2025 mandating the closure of all banks operating in Palestine for the Eid al-Fitr holiday from Sunday, March 30, through Wednesday evening, April 2, 2025. Banks may optionally open their branches on Saturday, March 29, 2025, upon public notification. Official operations will resume on Thursday morning, April 3, 2025, pursuant to Article 73 of Banking Law No. 9 of 2010 and the Council of Ministers' directive.

Circular No. 25/2025 To all banks operating in Palestine Date: Tuesday, March 25, 2025
Subject: Eid al-Fitr Holiday
Pursuant to the provisions of Article No. (73) of Banking Law No. 9 of 2010, and in reference to the Council of Ministers' directive, it has been decided to close banks operating in Palestine for the Eid al-Fitr holiday starting from the morning of Sunday, March 30, 2025, until the evening of Wednesday, April 2, 2025, with banks resuming official operations from the morning of Thursday, April 3, 2025. Banks wishing to do so may open their branches on Saturday, March 29, 2025, and notify the public accordingly.
On this blessed occasion, I extend my sincere congratulations and best wishes to all employees of the banking sector, and we pray to God that He returns it to our Palestinian people with their aspirations fulfilled in establishing the independent State of Palestine with Jerusalem as its holy capital.
