Management of operational risk in supervised entities of the financial sector

The Finnish Financial Supervisory Authority (FIN-FSA) issued Regulations and Guidelines 8/2014 to establish the framework for managing operational risk in supervised financial sector entities. The document, which entered into force on 1 February 2015 and was last amended on 1 December 2022, sets out binding requirements and supervisory expectations for risk governance. It applies to a broad range of entities including payment institutions, investment firms, credit institutions, and insurance companies.
