Introducing a Change and a Supplement to the Central Bank of the Republic of Armenia Board Resolution No. 229-N, dated July 28, 2009

For the purpose of ensuring the consumers’ right to protection of personal data, the proportionality in processing their personal data;

In view of Article 43 (1.1) of the Republic of Armenia Law “On Banks and Banking”; and Article 9.1 of the Republic of Armenia Law “On Credit Organizations”; and Article 17 (2) of the Republic of Armenia Law “On Payment Systems and Payment and Settlement Organizations”; and Article 65 (3) of the Republic of Armenia Law “On the Securities Market”; and Article 93 (2) of the Republic of Armenia Law “On Investment Funds”; and

Pursuant to Article 20 (1) (“e”) of the Republic of Armenia Law “On the Central Bank of the Republic of Armenia”; and Article 33 (1) and (3) and Article 34 of the Republic of Armenia Law “On Normative Legal Acts”,

the Board of the Central Bank of the Republic of Armenia

E n a c t s:

  1. Introduce the following change and supplement to Regulation 8/05 “Rules to Business Conduct for Financial Organizations” (hereinafter referred to as the “Regulation”) as approved under the Central Bank of the Republic of Armenia Board Resolution (no. 229-N, dated July 28, 2009) on “Approving the Central Bank of the Republic of Armenia Regulation 8/05 “Rules to Business Conduct for Financial Organizations””:
  1. In paragraph 39 of the Regulation, replace the numbered provision “paragraph 39.1” with the numbered provisions “paragraph 39.1 and paragraph 39.2”;

  2. After paragraph 39.1, supplement the Regulation with the following content, introduced as a new paragraph 2:

“39.2. Statements providable to foreign embassies and visa centers must include the elements specified in Appendix 2 to this Regulation, subject to the format shown as Template 5 in Appendix 3, except for the element as specified in clause 15 in Appendix 2, and except for the element “Withdrawal” as specified in clause 33 in Appendix 2, for which only the expression “Withdrawal from account” shall be indicated in the field “Transaction description” as specified in clause 37 in Appendix 2.”.

  1. This resolution to enter into force on the day following its official publication.
