DIRECTIVE NO. 01/DMA/2019 ORIGIN: Markets and Assets Department (DMA)

DATE 30/01/2019 SUBJECT: BNA Rate - Notice No. 10/2011, dated October 20

Whereas it is necessary to adjust the BNA reference interest rate regulated under Notice No. 10/2011, dated October 20; In accordance with the decision of the eightieth ordinary session of the Monetary Policy Committee, held on January 25, 2019; This Directive serves to establish the following:

  1. The BNA Rate is reduced by 0.75 percentage points (zero point seventy-five percentage points), moving from 16.50% (sixteen point fifty percent) to 15.75% (fifteen point seventy-five percent) per annum.
  2. Any doubts and omissions arising from the interpretation and application of this Directive shall be clarified by the Markets and Assets Department.
  3. Directive No. 04/DMA/2018, dated July 17, is hereby revoked.
  4. This Directive enters into force immediately.
