On Putting into Circulation the "Noah's Ark" Gold Investment Coins of 2026 Issue

The Council of the Central Bank of the Republic of Armenia issued Decision No. 147-N on September 9, 2025, approving the design and technical specifications for the 2026 "Noah's Ark" gold investment coin series. The regulation defines four denominations—100, 10,000, 25,000, and 50,000 dram—corresponding to weights of 1 gram, 1/4 ounce, 1/2 ounce, and 1 ounce of 999.9 purity gold, respectively. Each coin features the Coat of Arms on the obverse and an image of Mount Ararat with Noah's Ark on the reverse, with a maximum mintage of 25,000 units per denomination.

  1. The obverse of the coin features the Coat of Arms of the Republic of Armenia, with the coin's face value "100 DRAM" and the year of issue "2026" located at the bottom. On the right side are placed "1g" and "Au 999.9", and on the left side is the mint mark of the manufacturing organization. The coin's rim bears the inscriptions "REPUBLIC OF ARMENIA" and "ՀԱՅԱՍՏԱՆԻ ՀԱՆՐԱՊԵՏՈՒԹՅՈՒՆ".

  2. The reverse of the coin features Mount Ararat, Noah's Ark, and a dove holding a tree branch in its beak. The coin's rim bears the inscriptions "NOAH'S ARK" and "ՆՈՅՅԱՆ ՏԱՊԱՆ".
