The Minister of Finance for the Republic of Seychelles issued these 2022 regulations to amend the International Trade Zone (Amendment of Schedule) Regulations, 2019. The amended provisions grant existing license holders who obtain similar licenses by 31 December 2022 the right to retain their scheduled concessions until that date. Conversely, new license holders who acquired licenses after the regulations took effect are explicitly excluded from accessing those concessions.

[8th August 2022] International T rade Zone 904 REPUBLIC OF SEYCHELLES SUPPLEMENT TO OFFICIAL GAZETTE SI shall, notwithstanding regulation 2, continue to enjoy any concession allowed to the holder st of the licence until 31 December, 2022 under the Schedule as if the Schedule has not been amended.” (b) by inserting after regulation 3 the following new regulation — “Exception 4. A person who is the holder of a licence under the Act after the date of coming into effect of these Regulations who was not a holder of a licence prior to the coming into force of these Regulations shall not be entitled to enjoy any concession provided for under regulation 3.” MADE this 5th day of August, 2022.
