Implementation of EBA Guidelines on STS criteria for ABCP and non-ABCP securitisations (EBA/GL/2018/08 and EBA/GL/2018/09)

The Prudential Supervision and Resolution Authority (ACPR) has declared its compliance with the European Banking Authority's guidelines on Simplicity, Transparency, and Standardisation (STS) criteria for both ABCP and non-ABCP securitisations. These guidelines provide a unique and consistent interpretation of STS criteria for initiators, sponsors, original lenders, SSPEs, investors, competent authorities, and third-party verifiers across the Union. The guidelines are applicable to institutional investors and securitisation entities as defined in Regulation (EU) 2017/2402 to facilitate the adoption of STS criteria.

Implementation of the European Banking Authority's guidelines on the simplicity, transparency and standardisation ("STS") criteria for ABCP securitisations (EBA/GL/2018/08) and for non-ABCP securitisations (EBA/GL/2018/09)

The Prudential Supervision and Resolution Authority has declared itself compliant with the European Banking Authority's guidelines on STS criteria for ABCP securitisation (EBA/GL/2018/08) and with the European Banking Authority's guidelines on STS criteria concerning non-ABCP securitisations (EBA/GL/2018/09).

These guidelines provide a unique and consistent interpretation of the STS criteria for ABCP and non-ABCP securitisations for initiators, original lenders, sponsors, SSPEs, investors, competent authorities and third parties verifying the STS criteria. The guidelines apply on a cross-sectoral basis throughout the Union with the aim of facilitating the adoption of the STS criteria.

These guidelines are applicable to institutional investors and to initiators, sponsors, original lenders and securitisation entities within the meaning of Regulation (EU) 2017/2402 of 12 December 2017 laying down a general framework for securitisation and creating a specific framework for simple, transparent and standardised securitisation.
