Summary

Pursuant to Article 8(4) of Decree-Law No. 147/2019 of 30 September, this notice determines the terms for notification to the Bank of Portugal, using a specific form, by entities wishing to benefit from the transitional and contingency regime provided for in that legislation. This regime applies to contracts concluded by credit institutions, payment institutions, and electronic money institutions, within the scope of contingency measures to be applied in the event of the United Kingdom's withdrawal from the European Union without an agreement.

This Notice takes effect from the date of the United Kingdom's withdrawal from the European Union without an agreement regulating the matters covered by Decree-Law No. 147/2019 of 30 September. Its validity will cease on 31 December 2020.
