Bank of Portugal issued Notice No. 1/2023 to establish the necessary aspects for ensuring compliance with anti-money laundering and counter-terrorist financing preventive duties by entities exercising activities with virtual assets. This notice amends the previous Bank of Portugal Notice No. 1/2022 dated June 6, 2022. It entered into force on July 15, 2023, and applies to entities operating with virtual assets.
