Circular No. (258/2017) To all banks operating in Palestine Date: Tuesday, December 19, 2017

Subject: Legal Entity Identifier (LEI)

In light of the update to our Circular No. (2017/229) dated 7/11/2017 concerning the Legal Entity Identifier, and to ensure the smooth operation of the banking sector and its clients, including companies and institutions dealing with the bank internally and externally, in accordance with international best practices and standards, all banks are requested to carry out the following:

1. Proceed to obtain a Legal Entity Identifier for the bank itself by contacting the relevant authorities at international institutions that officially grant this identifier. For more information on this subject, please visit the website (www.gleif.org/en).

2. Develop an action plan in coordination with the bank's clients, including companies and institutions dealing with global financial funds, whether through incoming and outgoing transfers or financial investments, to determine legal identifiers for these institutions from the relevant authorities, which can be referenced from the aforementioned website.

Therefore, all banks are requested to give high importance to this matter to avoid any confusion or operational risks that may hinder the normal continuation of banking operations.
