The Federal Government has issued a notification exempting all goods from the special customs duty known as the Export Development Surcharge. This exemption is granted under the authority of the Finance Act 1991 and applies to all exports. The directive is effective immediately.

NOTIFICATION
S.R.O. 2335 (I)/2025.- In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (3) of section 11 of the Finance Act 1991 (Act No. XII of 1991), the Federal Government is pleased to exempt whole of the special customs duty levied and collected as Export Development Surcharge on exportation of all goods under sub-section (1) of section 11 of the Act, with immediate effect.
