This notification appoints the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan as the oversight body for the Institute of Chartered Accountants and the Institute of Cost and Management Accountants. The Ministry of Law and Justice is designated as the oversight body for the Pakistan Bar Council regarding Anti-Money Laundering and Countering Financing of Terrorism supervision. Appointed oversight bodies are legally mandated to approve all AML/CFT regulations issued by these respective self-regulatory bodies.
