Decision No. 2013-01 of January 2, 2013 regarding the organization of a permanent staff officer examination (firefighter)
The Governor of the Bank of France issued Decision No. 2013-01 to authorize candidates meeting specific citizenship, civic, and professional experience criteria to sit for the permanent staff officer (firefighter) examination. The selection process consists of psychotechnical tests for admissibility and a CV-based assessment with an interview for admission, followed by mandatory medical and professional licensing checks for final admission. Successful candidates are integrated into the permanent staff contingent on vacancies and are subject to a one-year probationary period as defined in the Personnel Statute.
Official Publication Register of the Bank of France 1 THE GOVERNOR OF THE BANK OF FRANCE Having regard to the Personnel Statute, particularly Articles 601, 602, 605, and 609 thereof, DECIDES Article 1: Candidates meeting the following conditions are authorized to sit for the permanent staff officer (firefighter) examination: • be a national of a member state of the European Union (with the exception of nationals subject to transitional provisions) or of a State signatory to the Agreement on the European Economic Area, • enjoy civil, civic, and family rights, • provide proof of 5 years of service in a corps of professional or military firefighters. Article 2: To assess their aptitude, candidates are subject to the following tests: • admissibility test: psychotechnical tests, • admission test: test and interview designed to assess the candidate's aptitudes and motivations for occupying the position, based on the curriculum vitae they have prepared. The interview is conducted by three people: two executives from the Bank of France, including one representing the General Directorate of Human Resources, and one external personality. Article 3: Only candidates who are: • recognized as physically fit following a medical examination, • holding a professional card for personnel exercising surveillance and guarding activities issued by the competent authority, may be declared finally admitted. Article 4: Admitted candidates are added to the permanent staff (firefighter) contingent as positions become vacant. They are subject to a one-year probationary period under the conditions provided for in Article 605 of the Personnel Statute.
