Commercial Licensing Regulations (Controlled Activities) Rules 2022
The Board of Directors of the Abu Dhabi Global Market issued the Commercial Licensing Regulations (Controlled Activities) Rules 2022 to define and regulate specific professional and economic activities within the jurisdiction. The rules designate financial, legal, accountancy, audit, insolvency, and company services as controlled activities requiring licensing, while explicitly excluding employees, public authorities, and certain cross-border service providers. These new rules came into force on 1 December 2022 and repealed the previous 2021 version of the regulations.
