The Central Bank of the Argentine Republic modifies the monetary threshold for truncated checks without image transmission to $2,000,000 ARS. Check-holding entities must retain documents and transmit corresponding electronic data to the electronic clearing house for checks at or below this threshold, while transmitting front-and-back images for all checks exceeding it and for all remaining negotiable instruments regardless of amount. This measure takes effect on November 10, 2025.

COMMUNICATION "A" 8345 23/10/2025 TO FINANCIAL ENTITIES, TO THE ELECTRONIC CLEARING HOUSES:
Ref.: Circular SINAP 1-238: National Payments System. Truncation of Checks and Transmission of Images.
We address you to inform you that this Institution has resolved to modify the threshold for checks truncated without image transmission. Check-holding entities shall retain the documents and transmit the corresponding electronic information to the electronic clearing house when their amount is less than or equal to $ 2,000,000 (two million pesos). For checks exceeding the established threshold, check-holding entities shall retain the documents and transmit, in addition to the electronic record, the image of their front and back. Likewise, check-holding entities, regardless of amount, shall transmit the image of the front and back for all remaining negotiable instruments. The measure will take effect on November 10, 2025.
