The President of the Republic, acting on the proposal of the Minister of Finance and Budget in a Council of Ministers meeting, issued Decree No. 2007-027 to appoint Mr. Frédéric Rasamoely as the Governor of the Central Bank of Madagascar. This decree simultaneously abrogates Decree No. 2002-500 and Decree No. 2006-468, thereby terminating the previous appointment framework and extending term provisions for the Governor's office. The Minister of Finance and Budget is mandated to execute the decree and ensure its publication in the Official Journal of the Republic.

THE PRESIDENT OF THE REPUBLIC, Having regard to the Constitution, Having regard to Law No. 94-044 of June 10, 1994 on the Statutes of the Central Bank of Madagascar, Having regard to Decree No. 2007-022 of January 20, 2007 on the appointment of the Prime Minister, Head of Government, Having regard to Decree No. 2007-025 of January 25, 2007 on the appointment of members of the Government; On proposal from the Minister of Finance and Budget, In Council of Ministers,
DECREES:
Article 1 - All provisions of Decree No. 2002-500 of July 3, 2002 on the appointment of the Governor of the Central Bank of Madagascar and those of Decree No. 2006-468 of July 17, 2006 on the extension of the term of office of the Governor of the Central Bank of Madagascar are hereby repealed and remain repealed. Art. 3 - The Minister of Finance and Budget is charged with the execution of this decree, which shall be published in the Official Journal of the Republic.
