The Financial Sector Conduct Authority (FSCA) has issued an invitation for small and SMME financial services providers to attend a series of FAIS compliance workshops throughout 2019 and 2020. Participants must secure bookings via the website or call centre on a first-come-first-served basis, present valid identification at registration, and attend the full session to receive Financial Planning Institute CPD credits. The workshops will be held across multiple South African venues with a 100-person capacity, covering key compliance topics including client interaction and license maintenance.

Bookings: • The bookings for the September 2019 workshops will open on the website at 09:00 on Tuesday 20 August 2019. • Bookings are made on a first come first served basis. • There is no waiting list. • If you are unable to attend, please cancel your booking on the website. • As a booking is cancelled the seat becomes available for the next booking that is made. • There is space for a 100 people per workshop.

Bookings via the call centre: • You can also contact the call centre on 0800 20 3722 Update your details: • Please check that your contact details are correct when you book for the workshop. • If you have registered for previous events, we recommend that you check that your email address and cell phone number, as well as employment details are still correct. CPD requirements • The workshop will be registered for CPD purposes with the Financial Planning Institute (FPI). • In order to qualify for CPD, delegates must: o Accept the terms and conditions for CPD; o Show a copy of your ID or your Driver’s licence or valid passport at registration; and o Attend the full session. • Delegates who arrive late or leave early will not qualify for the CPD certificate. • Delegates are advised to please be patient, as the process of verification at the end of the day will cause a delay in leaving. Certificates will only be issued where we have verified that the delegate attended the full session.
