Revision of the Zambia Interbank Payment and Settlement System Fees
The Bank of Zambia has revised downward the processing fees for the Zambia Interbank Payment and Settlement System (ZIPSS) to encourage greater adoption of the Real Time Gross Settlement System. While administrative and penalty fees remain unchanged, commercial banks are required to pass the reduced processing costs directly to their customers. These revised charges take effect on March 23, 2020, as detailed in the accompanying schedule.
