Order on Payment of ATP Contributions for Members of Unemployment Insurance Funds and Others
The Danish Ministry of Employment issued this order to regulate the mandatory and voluntary payment of contributions to the Labour Market Supplementary Pension (ATP) for members of unemployment insurance funds receiving unemployment benefits or early retirement pensions. It establishes a total hourly contribution rate of 4.26 DKK for active benefit recipients, split equally among the member, the unemployment fund, and the state or private employers depending on the benefit type, while setting a voluntary rate of 1.86 DKK per hour for early retirement pensioners. The regulation details the calculation, quarterly collection, and refund mechanisms for these contributions, with the order entering into force on January 1, 2024.
