Circular No. 1 (2025): Working Hours of Currency Exchangers During Ramadan
The Palestine Monetary Authority issued Circular No. 1 (2025) mandating that all licensed currency exchange offices in Palestine open to the public at 9:00 AM for all working days during the holy month of Ramadan. This directive, issued under Legislative Decree No. 40 of 2022, establishes a temporary operating schedule that will revert to standard hours immediately following the conclusion of Ramadan. Subject: Working Hours of Currency Exchangers During the Holy Month of Ramadan
We congratulate you on the arrival of the holy month of Ramadan, praying to Almighty God that He may return it to you always in the best of health and wellness, and that He may return it to our people with their aspirations fulfilled by the establishment of their independent state with Jerusalem as its capital.
Based on the provisions of Legislative Decree No. (40) of 2022 concerning the licensing and regulation of the currency exchange profession, it has been decided to open the doors of currency exchange offices to the public at 9:00 AM for all working days during the holy month, and working hours will return to their previous schedule after the end of the holy month.
