ITZ Employment (Coronavirus Special Leave) (Temporary Measures) Order, 2020
The Minister for Finance, Trade, Investment and Economic Planning issued this Order to grant paid special leave to eligible International Trade Zone workers for childcare or coronavirus-related isolation. The legislation defines qualifying parents and essential service employees, mandates full wage continuation during the leave period, and exempts such absences from standard annual or compassionate leave deductions. It establishes a formal application process, empowers the Authority to adjudicate grievances and order leave grants, and amends existing employment regulations to preserve continuous service records and thirteen-month pay eligibility.
