The Head of the Department of Financial Citizenship Promotion (Depef) of the Central Bank of Brazil issued Instruction Normative No. 719 to formally revoke Instruction Normative BCB No. 62 of December 22, 2020. This revocation eliminates the previous procedures established for the disclosure of information regarding the branches and dependencies of financial institutions and other entities authorized to operate by the Central Bank. The new instruction entered into force on the date of its publication, April 1, 2026.
CENTRAL BANK OF BRAZIL INSTRUCTION NORMATIVE NO. 719, OF APRIL 1, 2026
Revokes Instruction Normative BCB No. 62, of December 22, 2020, which establishes procedures for the disclosure of information regarding the branches and dependencies of financial institutions and other institutions authorized to operate by the Central Bank of Brazil.
The Head of the Department of Financial Citizenship Promotion (Depef), in the exercise of the authority conferred upon him by Art. 23, item I, letter “a”, of the Internal Regulations of the Central Bank of Brazil, annexed to Resolution BCB No. 340, of September 21, 2023, and considering Art. 5 of Resolution BCB No. 3, of August 12, 2020,
R E S O L V E S:
Art. 1. Instruction Normative BCB No. 62, of December 22, 2020, is hereby revoked.
Art. 2. This Instruction Normative enters into force on the date of its publication.
