Decision on Placing 1000-Dinar Banknotes in Circulation

The National Bank of Serbia, led by Governor Dr Jorgovanka Tabaković, issued a decision to place a new 1000-dinar banknote into circulation. The banknote is scheduled for release on 25 July 2014, with its specific security features defined in a separate accompanying regulation. This decision was signed on 21 July 2014 and entered into force upon its publication in the RS Official Gazette.

RS Official Gazette, No 76/2014 Pursuant to Article 18, paragraph 1, item 3, with reference to Article 55, paragraph 3 of the Law on the National Bank of Serbia (RS Official Gazette, Nos 72/2003, 55/2004, 85/2005 – other law, 44/2010, 76/2012 and 106/2012), the Governor of the National Bank of Serbia issues the following DECISION ON PLACING 1000-DINAR BANKNOTE IN CIRCULATION

  1. On 25 July 2014, the National Bank of Serbia shall place in circulation a 1000-dinar banknote, with features set out in the Decision on the Issue and Main Features of the 1000-Dinar Banknote and its Main Features (RS Official Gazette, No 76/2014).
