Bank of Zambia Circular 2/1998: Submission of Prudential Returns
The Bank of Zambia mandates all commercial banks and financial institutions to submit the Sectoral Classification of Loans and Advances return monthly instead of biannually. This frequency change applies to Item No. 12 of the prudential return framework, following an amendment to the previously issued January circular. Institutions must submit the January 1998 classification data by Wednesday, 4 March 1998, with subsequent monthly submissions required thereafter.

SUBMISSION OF PRUDENTIAL RETURNS
Further to CB Circular No. 1/98 of 21st January 1998 regarding the above subject matter, please note that an amendment has been made to Item No. 12 of Sectoral Classification of Loans and Advances. This return will now be required to be submitted monthly instead of biannually as indicated in our earlier circular.
For purposes of the return for the month of January 1998, the Sectoral Classifications should be submitted by Wednesday, 4th March 1998.
