CB Circular 12/2013: Reuters Trade Reporting System Presentation

BANK of zA¥BIA DEPUfY GOVERNOR- OPERATIONS June 20, 2013 CB Circular No: 12/2013 To All Commercial Banks REUTERS TRADE REPORTING SYSTEM Reference is made to our earlier letter dated February 19, 2013 in which commercial banks were advised about the intention of the Bank of Zambia (BoZ) to procure the Trade Reporting System from Thompson Reuters in order to enhance the operations of the foreign exchange market. We wish to advise that the responses received from the market are generally in support of the procurement of the System. As you may recall, the Bank of Zambia also made an undertaking that the vendor, Thompson Reuters, would be invited at an appropriate time to make a presentation to enable the whole market have an in-depth appreciation on the capabilities of the Trade Reporting System. In view of this, the BoZ has requested Thompson Reuters to make a one day presentation in -the Bank of Zambia Auditorium on Tuesday, July 9, 2013 at 09:00 hours. Due to the technical nature of the application, we request the attendance from each bank of the Head of Treasury and one IT Specialist. ~ Bw Iya K. E.
