The Bank of Uganda directs all commercial banks, credit institutions, and microfinance deposit-taking institutions to submit credit data to GnuGrid CRB Limited. This mandatory submission takes effect on February 10, 2022, pursuant to the Financial Institutions Act and Micro Finance Deposit-Taking Institutions Act. GnuGrid CRB Limited will provide Secure File Transfer Protocol details to project managers, with operational inquiries directed to its designated email address.

Submission of Data to GnuGrid CRB Limited
We refer to the Bank of Uganda Circular dated December 31, 2021 on Licensing of GnuGrid CRB Limited and the subsequent workshop introducing M/s GnuGrid CRB Limited (GnuGrid) to Participating Institutions (PIs).
Pursuant to Regulation Section 78 (2) of the Financial Institutions Act, 2004 and Section 46 of the Micro Finance Deposit-Taking Institutions Act, 2003, all Participating Institutions are required to submit credit information to all licenced Credit Reference Bureaus. In this regard, effective February 10, 2022, all Participating Institutions are directed to start submitting credit data to GnuGrid CRB Limited.
GnuGrid CRB Limited is hereby requested to communicate details of the Secure File Transfer Protocol (SFTP) to the respective CRB Project Managers. For further enquiries about data submission, please contact GnuGrid CRB Limited via datasubmission@gnugridcrb.com
