A circular dated April 19, 2016 regarding banks undertaking activities to market banking products in certain gathering places.
In April 2016, the Chairman and CEO of Bank... greeted everyone with "Hello, and after that..." He mentioned a book written by Deputy Governor Nabil Saleh in September 2008 emphasizing the importance of banks conducting marketing activities for banking products through their employees in certain locations such as tourist areas or ports. In response to requests from some banks, he confirmed: - Marketing and advertising activities must be limited within specific locations and timeframes (not more than one week) without engaging in any financial transactions or fulfilling any requests (opening accounts or loan applications). The presence of bank employees should only focus on promoting banking products, with the required approval from the Central Bank of Egypt. - Advertising through televisions, billboards, and posters is allowed for promotional purposes without any physical presence of bank employees, and banks must notify the Central Bank in advance. He requested that everyone abide by these rules and highly appreciated their cooperation.

أود أن أشير إلى كتاب السيد نائب المحافظ المؤرخ ١١ سبتمبر ٢٠٠٨ بضرورة حصول البنوك ، التى ترغب فى مباشرة أنشطة تسويق منتجات مصرفية بواسطة موظفين تابعين لها فى أماكن بعض التجمعات كالقرى السياحية والأندية ً للخضوع لأية جزاءات نتيجةوالمراكز التجارية،،،،، إلخ ، على الموافقات المسبقة من البنك المركزى المصرى ، تجنبا مخالفة تلك التعليمات.

وفى ضوء الطلبات المقدمة من بعض البنوك ، أرجو التأكيد على ما يلى-:
− إن عملية الدعاية والتسويق لمنتجات البنك تكون من خلال المشاركة فى أحداث معينة مثل المعارض أو المؤتمرات أو بالمنتجعات خلال الموسم الصيفى أو بالنوادى الرياضية ....إلخ ، على أن تكون فى أماكن محددة ولفترة مؤقتة(لا تزيد عن اسبوع) وبشرط عدم القيام بأية عمليات مصرفية أو إستيفاء أية طلبات (لفتح حسابات أو ملء طلبات للحصول على قروض..) وبحيث يقتصر التواجد على التسويق لمنتجات البنك ، والإجابة على ً على موافقة البنك المركزى المصرى اللازمة فى هذا الشأن. الإستفسارات فقط ، بعد الحصول مسبقا يسمح للبنوك بالتواجد فى بعض الأماكن كراعى رسمى لأحداث معينة من خلال اللوحات الإعلانية والبوسترات ُ − وشاشات تليفزيونية لغرض تسويق منتجات البنك دون تواجد أى من مندوبى البنك ، وبحيث تقوم البنوك بإخطار ً بذلك. البنك المركزى مسبقا برجاء التفضل بالإحاطة والتنبيه بإتخاذ اللازم نحو الإلتزام بما تقدم وتفضلوا سيادتكم بقبول فائق الإحترام،،،، طارق فايد
