Margin Requirements Against Imports on Documents Against Acceptance (DA) Terms

The Central Bank of Sri Lanka has withdrawn its October 2018 circular governing margin requirements for imports under Documents Against Acceptance (DA) terms. The withdrawal takes effect on 13 March 2019, immediately replacing the previous regulatory framework for all licensed banks. This directive ensures that current compliance standards are uniformly applied to DA-related import transactions without transitional delays.
