Decree of NBS No. 4/2017 on Notification Elements for Special Relationships with Banks
Národná banka Slovenska issued Decree No. 4/2017 to specify the mandatory information required in notifications identifying persons with special relationships to banks or foreign bank branches. The decree mandates that statutory body members, senior employees, controlling persons, and qualifying shareholders disclose detailed personal data of their next of kin as well as ownership structures of controlled legal entities. This regulation repeals Decree No 17/2001 and entered into force on 1 October 2017 to enhance transparency regarding conflicts of interest and control structures.
