Submission of Monthly Foreign Exchange Purchases and Sales Returns for Balance of Payments

SUBMISSION OF MONTHLY FOREIGN EXCHANGE PURCHASES AND SALE RETURNS FOR BALANCE OF PAYMENTS PURPOSES  

Reference is made to CB Circular No.05/2006 dated August 11, 2006 on modifications to the Broad-Based Inter-bank Foreign Exchange System in which commercial banks were requested to submit monthly returns of foreign exchange purchases (Form FX-PUR 2a) and sales (Form FX-SALES 2b) by category for Balance of Payments purposes.  

We have noted that most commercial banks have not been submitting the above mentioned monthly returns. We therefore wish to remind you that you are required to submit these returns on the specified dates as outlined in the circular.  

Please note that the returns should be submitted to the Economics Department by the third Monday of the following month. For ease of reference, find attached herewith the said returns.
