The Bank of Portugal issued Circular Letter No. CC/2025/00000033 to establish general guidelines for the use of the Electronic Platform for Registration and Transmission of Official Documents (PERTO) by credit institutions and related financial entities. This directive supersedes the previous Circular Letter No. CC/2020/00000010 and applies to issuers and recipients of official documents within the Portuguese financial system. The regulation aims to standardize communication procedures and ensure compliance with electronic transmission protocols for supervised entities.
This Circular Letter disseminates general guidelines for the use of the Electronic Platform for Registration and Transmission of Official Documents (PERTO) to issuers and recipients. It revokes and replaces Circular Letter No. CC/2020/00000010, dated February 17.
