CL-2026-015: Lost Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) Registration Documents
The Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas issued a circular letter to all authorized agent banks and subsidiary foreign exchange corporations regarding the loss of specific BSP registration documents. These documents, originally issued to Van Melle International Trust B.V. for its foreign direct investment in Perfetti Van Melle Phils. Inc., cover a total of 2,416,000 shares registered between 1988 and 1989. The regulator instructed financial institutions not to honor these lost documents if found and presented for capital repatriation or earnings remittance, in accordance with Section 38 of the Manual of Regulations on Foreign Exchange Transactions.
