CBA’s FinCERT becomes a member of the FIRST international organization

The Central Bank of Azerbaijan's Financial Sector Computer Incident Response Team (FinCERT) has been admitted as a member of the Forum of Incident Response and Security Teams (FIRST). This membership expands international cooperation in cybersecurity, provides access to advanced practices, and strengthens operational information exchange. The admission supports the development of Azerbaijan's financial cybersecurity ecosystem and enhances the cyber resilience of financial market participants.

"FIRST" is an international organization that brings together computer security incident response teams representing the government, commercial, and academic sectors. The admission of "FinCERT" to "FIRST" is a significant step in expanding reliable international cooperation opportunities in the field of cybersecurity in the financial sector, ensuring access to advanced practices, strengthening operational information exchange, and developing capabilities to combat computer incidents. This membership will serve the development of the cybersecurity ecosystem in the Azerbaijani financial sector, strengthen early warning and coordination capabilities across the sector, and increase the cyber resilience of financial market participants. It is worth noting that "FinCERT" is a specialized center operating to receive, analyze, and ensure coordination of information on cybersecurity incidents in the financial sector.
