G1/2018: Status of previously issued guidance notes
The South African Reserve Bank issued Guidance Note 1/2018 to clarify which previously issued regulatory guidance notes remain effective for the ensuing year. All prior guidance notes are deemed withdrawn unless explicitly confirmed in this annual notification, which lists specific retained documents covering topics such as operational risk, capital standards, and cyber resilience. Banks and their auditors are required to retain copies of these effective notes and return a signed acknowledgement of receipt to the Registrar of Banks.
